Living in Wassertorstraße 20/21 - Living as the
Kreuzberg heart desires
The cubic building with its 23 apartments in
Wassertorstraße 20/21 was built in 1962. The two and two-and-a half room apartments are spread over six floors. Two entrances, each with their own elevator, grant access to the condominium complex. Warm pastels, light rose and grey beige, decorate the flat plaster facade. The facade is interrupted by three vertically projecting rows of balconies. Their bricked parapet surfaces reflect the design of the base. The fixed glassblock glazing provides ideal wind and privacy protection. All of this results in a consistent color and shape concept, which is also reflected in the
interior design. While the two lower levels have tiled floors and walls, the two upper levels are plastered in the style of the outer facade.
Meeting Neighbors, Soaking up the Sun, Car/Bicycle Parking: the Multifunctional Backyard
The driveway leads to car parking spaces on the
backside of the building. The inner courtyard's
garden offers a spot of private greenery and calm in the heart of the trendy Kreuzberg district.
The charm of a Bygone (construction) Era
The 60s era building has not lost any of its special charm: Details, like the composite windows and the protected balconies, are still reminiscent of the original and represent a little piece of Berlin history. The unit for sale is also perfect for investors who value its architectural qualities.
